Work at OpenText
Theming Task
I worked as a UX Visual Designer in OpenText for four months!
My main project is theming project which is designing dark and high contrast themed components for the design system.
Here is a collage of the work I have completed. (Due to NDA, full mockups cannot be shown here.)
Tokens:
Later we put the colors we used into Token Tables. This would not only allow designers to directly edit colors or styling in the system but also allow developers to use a more systematic approach in CSS styling writing.
Guideline Updates:
I also worked on updating the Design System Guideline Website. The picture is a collage of some components I did.
Key Learnings:
With this Internship in OpenText Design System Team, I went on a journey of diving deep into the Atomic Design concepts and the meticulous details in various components. I learned a lot about topics like accessibility in colors, establishing multiple theming, designing system guideline updates, and so many more!
Key Acknowledgement:
A huge thank you goes to my mentor & lead designer Belle for allowing all those amazing explorations, Sr. Designer Christina, Art Director Richard for all the feedback and teaching on the topics listed above!
